ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Award-winning travel writer Carole Terwilliger Meyers, a native San Franciscan, holds a B.A. degree in anthropology from San Francisco State University and an elementary teaching credential from Fresno State College. She is the author of 15 books, including WEEKEND ADVENTURES IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA and MILES OF SMILES: 101 GREAT CAR GAMES & ACTIVITIES. She is also the editor of THE FAMILY TRAVEL GUIDE: AN INSPIRING COLLECTION OF FAMILY-FRIENDLY VACATIONS, DREAM SLEEPS: CASTLE & PALACE HOTELS OF EUROPE, and THE ZOO BOOK: A GUIDE TO AMERICA'S BEST, and is the founding publisher of Carousel Press. She is as well an active freelance writer and has written for Family Fun, Travel Holiday, and numerous other magazines as well as for the travel sections of many newspapers. Carole has been interviewed on the "Today" show and has acted as a weekly guest authority on KNBR radio in San Francisco. Ms. Meyers resides in Berkeley, California. |
